Care Team

Sandra Griffith, MD, FAAP

I have always loved the exuberance of my young patients, but after I became a parent myself, I came to recognize that the highest calling in pediatrics was helping parents do their best to care for their children in sickness and in health.

Background

Dr. Sandra Griffith joined our practice in 1992. After studying biology at Tufts University, she went on to the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine for medical school. Dr. Griffith completed her pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and a fellowship in behavioral pediatrics at Seattle Children’s Hospital and the University of Washington.

At a young age, Dr. Griffith embraced the idea that girls had equal opportunities, and decided to become a physician. After spending time in solo pediatric practice prior to joining our group, Dr. Griffith particularly enjoys the camaraderie, cooperation and generosity of her colleagues in the Redmond office. With her training in behavioral pediatrics, she has an interest in ADHD and autism. Dr. Griffith also participated in the fellowship program at the Montlake Institute of Family Therapy, and most recently has developed a strong interest in breastfeeding medicine.

Dr. Griffith is married with two grown daughters. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, walking, hiking, sewing, cooking, and managing home remodel projects.
