What We Do

What to Expect - Prenatal Visit

Allegro Pediatrics offers you a chance to meet your future pediatrician through our prenatal visits. These visits are offered by most of our doctors and are not required, but may be helpful in finding a doctor that is the right fit for your family. Just browse our care team listing and call (425) 827-4600 to schedule an appointment.

Once you’ve decided to bring your baby to Allegro Pediatrics, we hope to make the path from delivery to your first appointment as simple and worry-free as possible.

When Your Baby is Born

If you are delivering your baby at Evergreen Hospital, Overlake Medical Center, or Swedish Issaquah Campus, a doctor from our practice will see your baby for the first time in the hospital. If your child requires more specialized medical care, then our doctors may consult with or transfer care to a neonatologist in the hospital.

When filling out your hospital paperwork, simply identify Allegro Pediatrics as where you will go for your baby’s care, even if you have not chosen a specific pediatrician.

Your Baby’s First Appointment

Many babies will be seen at a post-partum follow-up visit for mother and baby in the hospital, a couple of days after being discharged. Most newborns have their first visit to our clinics at 1-2 weeks old.

If you are delivering at a hospital other than those listed above, your first visit to our offices would take place when your baby is 1-3 days old.

Protecting Your Baby Before Birth

Enjoy this special time as you prepare for your baby’s birth. In order to protect both mom and baby, we strongly recommend the flu and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis) vaccines for all members of the family, especially mothers, during each pregnancy. Anyone who will be caring for the baby should also be up-to-date on their vaccines.
