Farewell to Dr. Phillips

by Allegro Pediatrics

After more than 40 years in practice, we wish Dr. Zaiga Phillips all the best in her retirement.

My Dear Patients,

I have been blessed with 40 fabulous, inspiring career years in partnership with a great group of doctors. It’s been exciting to see our practice grow from a small group of five to what it is today. As the first woman at Pediatric Associates, it gives me great joy to see that so many other women physicians have joined the Allegro Pediatrics team.

I have and always will appreciate your trust in me to provide the best healthcare for your babies, children, and teens. Together, we have shared challenges and joy as we watched their healthy emotional and physical growth, recovery from aches and pains, and the process of healing an illness. Dear parents, I have learned so much from you and your families. Your continued loyalty is the highest compliment you could ever pay me. Thank you very much.

After ending my regular days of practice, I plan to occasionally fill in for my partners at Allegro Pediatrics. The additional free time will help me concentrate on the pediatric care issues in my native country, Latvia. I also plan to spend more time with my ever-adventuresome grandsons and family.

I am confident that my fellow Allegro Pediatrics colleagues in all the eight clinics will continue to provide the best of pediatric care to each of your children.

I will miss you and all the smiles. Wishing you all good health and a wondrous future.

Sincerely,

Zaiga Alksne Phillips, MD, FAAP
