Pediatrics allowed me to combine my interests, as so much of what we do is educating children, adolescents, and their families about health, wellness, and development.
Dr. Diane Ack joined our practice in 2000. She attended Georgetown for both her undergraduate education and medical school. Dr. Ack completed her residency at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Ack decided as a teenager that she wanted to be either a doctor or a teacher. Pediatrics allowed her to combine her interests, caring for her patients and educating children, adolescents, and their families. She retired her full-time practice in 2011 to go back to school for her Master of Education degree. Dr. Ack taught high school biology for five years. She is now a middle and high school math tutor while seeing patients as a locums physician at Allegro Pediatrics.
Dr. Ack is married with two children. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with family (including her 2 dogs), quilting, and dance fitness classes.
