I love getting to know families personally and watching children as they grow from infancy through adolescence.

Background

Dr. Amritha Panchanathan Patel joined our practice in 2026. She attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate education and then went on to the University of Arizona for medical school. Dr. Patel completed her residency at the University of Connecticut/Connecticut Children’s.

Dr. Patel was inspired to pursue medicine after volunteering in a medical clinic following an earthquake in Haiti, where she witnessed the meaningful impact physicians can have on individuals, families, and entire communities. That experience shaped her commitment to compassionate, community-centered care.

Dr. Patel believes families feel most confident when they fully understand their child’s health and are active participants in care decisions. Her approach focuses on shared decision-making, with patient and family education at the center of every visit. Dr. Patel’s clinical interests include early childhood development, preventive care and well visits, and adolescent mental health, including ADHD and anxiety.

Outside of work, Dr. Patel enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cooking and exploring new restaurants, and embracing seasonal activities. She is the parent of two young children and loves swimming, beach days, and all things music.
