I love listening to the story that each patient provides for me. It is a privilege to be part of their lives and their journey.

Background

Dr. Deborah Calhoun joined our practice in 2023. She attended Stanford University for her undergraduate education. She then attended medical school at the University of Washington and completed her residency at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, California.

Dr. Calhoun has over twenty years of experience as a practicing pediatrician. Prior to joining Allegro, she spent five years evaluating infants and toddlers with developmental delays, genetic disorders, and medical complexities at a Developmental Follow Up Clinic. As a parent of a special needs child herself, Dr. Calhoun understands the challenges these children and families face. Her experiences have encouraged her to empower parents to find the best resources to help their children.

Dr. Calhoun loves the energy, spontaneity, and curiosity of children. She believes it’s a privilege to be a part of the parent/child relationship and watch it grow and change as the child develops.

Dr. Calhoun grew up in the Pacific Northwest and recently moved back after living in Scottsdale for the last twenty years. She is married and has five children, which manage to keep her quite busy despite the oldest 4 being in college and graduate school. In her free time, Dr. Calhoun enjoys trail running, completing marathons, and traveling.
