Background
Dr. Mackenzie Minehan joined our practice in 2026. She attended the University of San Diego for her undergraduate education before earning her medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Dr. Minehan completed her pediatric residency at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.
Dr. Minehan originally planned to become a music therapist. While volunteering at the Music Therapy Center of California, she worked with children and adults with a wide range of motor and intellectual abilities. The experience sparked her interest in their unique medical and developmental needs and ultimately inspired her to pursue pediatrics.
Dr. Minehan believes every child deserves thoughtful, individualized care and enjoys partnering with families to support their child’s unique needs, strengths, and circumstances. She emphasizes prevention and early intervention while considering each patient’s overall well-being. Building trusting relationships is central to her approach, and she wants families to leave each visit feeling heard, supported, and confident in the plan moving forward. Dr. Minehan enjoys caring for children at every stage, from newborns through adolescence, and supporting their health and development as they grow.
Outside of work, Dr. Minehan enjoys music, hiking, playing pickleball, and discovering new restaurants and local businesses. She and her husband also have a dog named Flynnjamin, whom they adopted in 2020.
