I enjoy helping children and their families get through difficult times, and celebrate all the milestones of growth and victories over illness.

Background

Dr. Ellen Lampe joined our practice in 2003. After completing a BA in biology at Kansas State University, and a BS in Nursing at the University of Kansas, she attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. Dr. Lampe stayed in the area for her residency at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Lampe was drawn to spending extra time with children in medical school. She was amazed by their bravery, and inspired by their ability to play despite their illness. She has a strong passion for serving disadvantaged children, both locally and internationally. Dr. Lampe works with a handicapped children’s clinic in Morocco, provides medical care at an orphanage in Haiti, and serves as a mentor to children with parents in local prisons.

Dr. Lampe and her husband, Scott, are both from a small town in western Kansas. Scott works as an investment counselor and is very involved in local government. They have two daughters; Alyssa, a fourth year medical student at USC, and Meredith, a junior studying computer science at the UW. Dr. Lampe loves spending time with her family, traveling, and visiting her extended family in Colorado. She also enjoys walks, movies and events at her church.

Occasionally, providers may not be accepting new patients. Please check with the receptionist when scheduling an appointment.
