Sonia Durham, MD*

Background

Dr. Sonia Durham joined our practice in 2024. She attended Texas Tech University for her undergraduate education. She then completed medical school and her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas.

Dr. Durham was compelled to work in pediatrics after spending time in high school and college volunteering with an after-school group for kids with special needs. This experience opened her eyes to the resiliency of children and the unique way in which they view the world. During medical school and residency, Dr. Durham discovered her passion for counseling families in the nursery setting and sharing the joys of welcoming new ones into the world. She is experienced in newborn resuscitation/stabilization and is also certified as a lactation counselor to help families meet their feeding goals in the newborn stage.

Dr. Durham was born and raised in Dallas, Texas but recently relocated to Redmond with her husband, daughter, and Labrador retriever. Outside of work, Dr. Durham enjoys hiking, crafting, curling up with a good book, and spending time with her family.
