I enjoy the variety each day in clinic offers and the continued opportunity to meet new families as they work to raise each child to be the best version of themselves.
Dr. Tammy Ruth joined our practice in 2021. She attended Washington University for her undergraduate education and medical school. Dr. Ruth completed her residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego and at Seattle Children’s Hospital/University of Washington. She was also on active duty with the US Navy for 5 years, primarily at the Naval Health Clinic Oak Harbor on Whidbey Island, and remains grateful for those who continue to support our freedom.
Dr. Ruth also holds a Master of Education degree from the University of Cincinnati. She has a special interest in medical education and how it can be used to both enhance patient understanding and promote continuity of care between doctors and specialists.
Dr. Ruth experiences great joy in her work and seeing children recover after an illness or injury is what brings her back to clinic each day. She loves getting to know kids' interests and goals and feel such privilege in supporting the whole family.
Dr. Ruth lives in northeast Seattle area with her husband, who is also a doctor, their two young children, Colin and Alexander, and labradoodle, Paxi, who has been part of the family since 2014. Outside of work, she enjoys relaxing at a park or beach, and enjoying all the hiking and camping the PNW has to offer. She has also recently started progressing through cycling and yoga classes.
